Genre & Target Audience

Indie music also know as independent music that is released on smaller labels that operate independently from the mainstream music business.
But more often "indie" refers to a specific genre of contemporary music that is based on combining aesthetics of classic rock, punk, garage and art rock. I first heard the term indie rock starting to get used in the late 80s to early 90s to describe the music that was popular on college radio stations at the time. Therefore my band are of the Indie Genre.

The Target audience for my band are the young teenagers to the late 20's these people will be able to relate to the lyrics 'Penny Loafers,' 'See Saw Blues' the coloquical pharses. I am also trying to appeal to the target audience of the people who like to listen to unique music, maybe people who are also trying to become a signed band.

Hms Wrong Turn (music)

Shoot Me Down Again (music)

Kitchen Sunk (music)

HMS Wrong Turn / Another one of their songs

Lipstick, stuck. Prittsick emotion.
Roulette... tenner... henna tattoo devotion.

The gift shop’s got bygone issues of the daily rag,
Phone boxes; poxy replicas.

And all my life I’ve searched for the real thing
Yesterday’s news oh no

We’re all at sea, sailing solo
‘HMS Wrong Turn.’
Off Skegness craving bingo,
Ice cream and sunburn.
‘’God Save the Queen!’’
HMS, HMS HMS... Shipwreck

Pop stars? Oh no, spare me the nosebleed.
Two fair-weather, never fans and the Bo peeps.

The chip shop’s got bygone issues of the daily rag.
Phone hacking: happy editors....

Lyrics: Kitchen Sunk/ Another one of their songs

Arthur was out for a good time
But nosey parkers tittle-tattle,
‘‘Tut-tut, Tut-tut!’’

Toilet-talk toilet floor stickiness
And iffy, English cities face my squeeze.

Oh my feeme fatale girl, do as you flaming well please.
‘’Be at Goose fair, or square’’, she screams.

‘’All is fair in love and war,’’
She said she reads this junk.
All is fair in love and war
Kitchen-sink, kitchen sunk

Riot act! Copycat primitives
That iffy inner city pigs can ease.

‘’But the `Bullingdon blind` do as they bloody well please.
We all pay their bus fare’’ she pleads.

All is fair in love and war...

Lyrics: Shoot Me Down Again (main)

Kudos to you, music gang.
They think they know ( and never can)
How you and me and lovers feel.
Tears rust away nerves of steel.

Noughties step;
A hangdog pop chart’s all thats left.
All this parrot fashion, parrot fashion
Its a wonder we’re not dead yet.

If you do not endorse,
Or lack the stomach for,
Selecter past times that I choose,

Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
Before the night bests me and claims my blues,
Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
And lets play ay up duck, duck, goose.

I have no money for the bus
But penny loafers on each foot.
Don’t advocate my rolled-up sleeves
Under the pretence of elbow grease

Noughties step;
A hangdog pop chart’s all thats left.
All this parrot fashion, parrot fashion
Its a wonder we’re not dead yet.

If you do not endorse,
Or lack the stomach for,
Selecter past times that I choose,

Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
Oh shoot me down again baby!
Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
And lets play ay up duck, duck, goose.

Curse my misspent youth.
At great lengh , I longed for you
Too short in tooth.
Baby, meet me by the swings.
I’ll sing to you ‘The See-Saw Blues’
And reclaim my hidden tins.

Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
Before the night bests me and claims my blues,
Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
And lets play ay up duck, duck, goose.

Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again,
Before the night bests me and claims my blues,
Shoot me down again, Shoot me down again
And lets play ay up duck, duck, goose.
